Stamp duty on homes must go – a progressive land tax is the solution

The ‘excess burden’ or dead weight loss of stamp duty is 62c per dollar of revenue. Land tax is 6c, or probably even less. Stamp duty is a dog of a tax and must be replaced. Continue reading
